📝 The Last Bench Hero
Written by: Sumit Sharma, JNV Dhanbad
In every class, there’s always someone who quietly watches, rarely speaks, and almost never raises a hand. In our class, that someone was Aarav. Sitting on the last bench, he was often forgotten—until the day everything changed.
It was the inter-house science quiz, and our house needed one more participant. No one expected Aarav to volunteer, but to everyone’s surprise, he quietly raised his hand. Some laughed, a few whispered—but he didn’t care. He had been reading science books for months and had a mind full of curiosity, even if no one noticed.
The day of the quiz arrived. Round after round, Aarav kept answering questions with calm confidence. His voice was soft, but his answers were sharp. By the final round, we were tied with another house—and it was Aarav who answered the last question correctly, leading us to victory.
Since that day, Aarav is no longer just the boy from the last bench. He is now known as “The Last Bench Hero”—the one who taught us that silence isn’t weakness and that talent doesn’t always sit in the front row.
🌟 Moral of the Story: Never judge someone by how quiet they are. Great minds often speak the loudest through their actions.
